Uneven Skin Tone and Texture

Sun exposure, aging, smoking, and other environmental factors can alter skin tone and texture over time.

Uneven skin tone is when the skin becomes hyperpigmented and forms irregular color changes such as brown spots, red spots, or flushed areas. Textural changes can occur as the skin becomes drier and rougher due to hormonal changes and decreasing collagen and elastin levels. Because textural changes to the skin occur due to aging, the phrase “as smooth as a baby’s bottom” often elicits a feeling of envy for such soft, supple skin.

Recommended Treatment:

Skin tone and skin texture are best treated with the FotoFacial® procedure. This treatment uses intense pulsed light to rejuvenate the skin. After just one treatment, patients will see a gradual decrease in hyperpigmentation, fading of sun spots, and improvement in skin texture. After a few treatments, patients will have remarkably smoother and more evenly toned skin.
